I am sharing here Andrea Franchetto’s event schema of the ritual in Liber iuratus Honorii (Northern Tradition), as presented in his PhD dissertation. It is very helpful to navigate the text.
For our last session on the Liber iuratus (December 7), I recommend that participants review pages 109–123 of Franchetto’s dissertation, which is accessible via open access (see previous message for the reference).
In addition, for insights into how ritual efficacy is linked to the reconfiguration of the network of relations in which practitioners stand, please refer to Richard Kieckhefer’s work, Forbidden Rites: A Necromancer’s Manual of the Fifteenth Century (University Park, PA: Pennsylvania State University Press, 2003), 15.
