Acquisition of a Dr Marcellin Chardel Manuscript

We are happy to announce the acquisition of a signed autograph manuscript by Doctor Marcellin Chardel. The manuscript consists of 5 pages, dated around 1829.

It’s a controversial text in which Doctor Chardel defends his theory on the formation of sleep and dreams. It addresses the interaction of spirit and matter, the existence of the soul and the action of animal magnetism.

Doctor Chardel (1777 – 1847) is a physician and a politician of the late 18th and early 19th centuries. He was an advocate of animal magnetism.
